Both the tongue and the collar are padded to minimize pressure from the lacing and relieve the heel tendon. The upper material consists of a flexible mesh fabric with reinforcements in TPU. The upper also has a Weather Shield membrane that has good water-repellent properties. The midsole is well cushioned and has a relatively high drop to fit the jogger's training session on relatively flat surfaces. The load is wide precisely because the feet often swell a lot when running long distances. The outsole's BUGrip technology, with its 19 dynamic steel studs, provides a phenomenal grip on snow, ice and gravel. The studs have a tip made of carbide steel, which means that they do not wear out even after prolonged running on clean asphalt, which is just a real scenario because it is often only spotty slippery during winter running. The grip of the studs makes it possible to maintain a relaxed running pace and keep the speed up even when running on clean ice.
